Hoya Finlaysonii are epiphytic vines, meaning that they grow on the branches of trees in nature. The roots of epiphytes typically need very well-draining soil to prevent root rot. Hoyas will typically be happy with average household humidity but added humidity is a plus. This plant should be fertilized monthly through the spring and summer with a diluted general houseplant fertilizer. Cuttings can be rooted in water or soil.
