Alocasia are generally an easy to care for plant. Alocasia prefer high humidity so the use of misting or a humidifier to increase humidity may benefit this plant. Alocasias may produce offsets from the rhizome, which can be separated in order to propagate a new plant.

Alocasias grow from an underground bulb-like structure called a rhizome. Overwatering is a special danger to Alocasia because if the rhizome rots the plant may not recover. Underwatering may result in a slightly wilted appearance, but the plant should recover quickly once watered. We advise to err on the side of underwatering this plant rather than overwatering it.
