Care
Light
Bright indirect light is best for the Ficus. Low light will result in slow, weak growth and an unhealthy plant. Direct sun may scorch the leaves, especially if the plant is not slowly acclimated to brighter light conditions.
Water
Ficus prefer its roots to dry out in between waterings. It is much easier to overwater than to underwater this plant. Once the top few inches of soil are dry, water thoroughly until water runs through the bottom of the pot.
Care
Avoid cold drafts or sudden changes in light. Ficus is a strong grower and can be pruned to maintain height. Average household humidity is adequate. We recommend fertilizing once or twice during spring through summer with fertilizer diluted to half of the recommended amount.
Purify
Based on a NASA® study, these are the known contaminants this plant will filter from your home's air.
Formaldehyde is found in OSB, plywood, MDF, and particle board. Formaldehyde can be found in furniture like desks, bookshelves, beds, kitchen cabinets, and more.
