Care
Light
Caladium prefer bright indirect light but avoid direct sun which may burn the foliage.
Water
Caladium prefer moist, well draining soil. Water your plant regularly or when the top 1-2 inches of soil feels dry to the touch. The number one sign of underwatering is drooping, wilted leaves. You can tell if you are overwatering by the leaves yellowing and falling off. Overwatering may eventually lead to root rot.
Care
The roots of Caladium typically need very well-draining soil to prevent root rot. Caladium prefer higher levels of humidity but will tolerate normal household levels. This plant should be fertilized monthly through the spring and summer with a diluted general houseplant fertilizer. This plant will thrive during the spring and summer seasons and will go dormant during the fall and winter seasons.
