Care
Light
Coffee Plants are understory shrubs, so they should not be grown in direct sunlight which will burn the foliage. Bright indirect light is best for strong, healthy growth. Too little light will weaken your Coffee Plant over time.
Water
The Coffee Plant needs moist but well-draining soil. The soil should be allowed to dry out somewhat between waterings. Overwatering can lead to yellowing leaves and root rot. Underwatering can result in wilting and dropping leaves.
Care
To keep your Coffee Plant happy indoors, provide it with a warm, humid environment. The Coffee Plant will benefit from being fertilized every month during Spring and Summer with a general houseplant fertilizer diluted by about half. A healthy Coffee Plant can become quite large over time, and doesn’t mind being pruned back in Spring to keep its growth in check.
