Care
Light
Orchids prefer bright indirect light but avoid direct sunlight which may burn the foliage. Lower light may result in slower growth.
Water
The Orchid will tolerate minimum levels of watering. We recommend watering when the top inch of soil is dry to the touch. The number one sign of underwatering is shriveled canes. Overwatering may eventually lead to root rot.
Care
Orchids are primarily epiphytes, meaning that they grow on other plants in nature. The roots of epiphytes typically need very well-draining soil to prevent root rot. Orchids will typically be happy with average household humidity but higher humidity is recommended. This plant should be fertilized monthly through the spring and summer with a diluted general houseplant fertilizer. Mounting this plant will give a more organic look. Allow your Orchid to become rootbound before repotting.
