The Parlor Palm thrives in moderate indirect light. It’s considered a low light palm and will tolerate lower light conditions as well. We don’t recommend any bright direct sunlight.
Water
Even moisture is ideal for this palm. We like to allow the top inch or two to dry out between waterings. Careful not to overwater this palm as they are sensitive to consistently moist soil. The fronds will yellow if more frequent watering is needed.
Care
We recommend fertilizing the Parlor Palm once or twice during spring through summer with a diluted houseplant fertilizer. Keep the palm away from drafts. It will tolerate average humidity levels but thrives in above average humidity. Brown tips are an indication to raise the humidity. Humidity can be added by misting the plant or adding a humidifier. Propagation is difficult with this plant. Division of the clumps may be possible but we do not recommend it. Prune any browning or dry fronds to keep a tidy look.
