Philodendron Paraiso Verde Care

Watering:

Philodendrons like their soil to dry out a bit between waterings. Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry. Thirsty plants will droop, and overwatered ones may develop yellow leaves or root rot.

Light:

Philodendron Paraiso Verde prefers bright, indirect light. An east- west, south or north-facing window is ideal, but they’ll tolerate low light too. If there is no access, a north-facing window will work too. Too much direct sunlight can burn their leaves, while too little light can slow down growth.

General Care:

• Fertilizing: Feed your Philodendron every 4-6 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted, balanced fertilizer.

• Pest Control: Treat with neem oil or insecticidal soap if pests appear, but only when needed.

• Repotting: Repot every 1-2 years or when the roots outgrow the pot. Make sure the soil drains well to avoid root rot.

• Humidity: Philodendrons love moderate to high humidity, but they do fine in regular household levels. Aim for 50-60% if possible.

• Pruning & Propagation: Prune back any leggy vines to encourage a fuller plant. Propagate easily by taking stem cuttings and rooting them in water or soil.
