Peace Lily Domino Care
Watering:
Peace Lilies like to be watered when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry. If they’re thirsty, their leaves will droop dramatically as if they’re putting on a show for you. But don’t worry—they usually perk right back up after a good drink. Be careful not to overwater, as this can lead to yellow leaves and root rot. Always let the soil dry out a bit between waterings, and use a pot with good drainage.
Light:
Peace Lily Domino prefers low to moderate indirect light and are perfect for brightening up a shady corner. An east- west or north-facing window is ideal. They can tolerate low light, but if you want more blooms, place them in a spot with brighter, indirect light. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, so keep them out of harsh rays.
General Care:
-
Fertilizing: Feed every 4-6 weeks during the growing season with a balanced, diluted fertilizer. This will encourage more flowers and healthy growth.
-
Pest Control: Peace Lilies are generally pest-resistant, but if you notice pests like spider mites, treat with neem oil or insecticidal soap.
-
Repotting: Repot every 1-2 years or when the plant outgrows its pot. Use a well-draining potting mix to avoid waterlogged roots.
-
Humidity: Peace Lilies love high humidity, but they can adapt to normal household conditions. If the air is dry, mist the leaves regularly or place the plant near a humidifier.
-
Pruning & Propagation: Remove spent flowers and yellow leaves to keep your Peace Lily looking its best. You can propagate by division during repotting, ensuring each section has some roots and leaves attached.
