Rhaphidophora Decursiva Care
Water:
Let the top few inches of soil dry out between waterings. Rhaphidophora Decursiva tolerates underwatering better than overwatering, and too much water can lead to root rot—so it’s safest to water only after the top layer has dried.
Light:
Bright, indirect light is best to encourage strong, rapid growth. It can tolerate lower light or some direct light, but too much direct sun may scorch the leaves and too little light can slow growth. East-, west-, or north-facing windows work well.
General Care:
-
Fertilizing: Feed monthly during spring and summer with a diluted, general houseplant fertilizer.
-
Humidity: Tolerates normal household humidity, but may appreciate extra humidity from misting or a humidifier.
-
Pruning: Can be pruned back to encourage a fuller look.
-
Pruning & Propagation: Cuttings are easy to propagate thanks to established aerial roots—root them in water or plant directly into soil.
