Anthurium Clarinervium Care

Anthurium Clarinervium Care | Care Guide | Plant Proper

Watering:

Anthurium Clarinervium should dry out somewhat between waterings. Water when the top 2 inches of soil are dry to the touch. Because it’s an epiphytic plant, it’s very sensitive to overwatering—so it’s best to err on the side of underwatering. If it’s underwatered, you may see wilted leaves. If it’s overwatered, leaves may yellow, and staying too wet can increase the risk of root rot.

Light:

Anthurium Clarinervium prefers moderate to bright, indirect light. An east- or west-facing window is ideal. Avoid bright direct sunlight, as direct sun will burn the foliage over time.

General Care:

  • Soil/Drainage: As an epiphyte (growing on tree branches in nature), it needs very well-draining soil to help prevent root rot.

  • Humidity: Prefers high humidity and benefits from a humidifier or extra misting. It can grow in average household humidity, but low humidity should be avoided.

  • Fertilizing: Feed monthly through spring and summer with a diluted, general houseplant fertilizer.
