Dischidia Million Hearts Care
Watering:
Dischidia Million Hearts likes to dry out almost completely between waterings. Because its leaves are small and slightly succulent, it tolerates lower watering better than soggy soil. Water only when the potting mix is nearly fully dry—and always empty any excess water from the saucer. If it’s underwatered, you’ll notice drooping, wilted leaves. If it’s overwatered, the leaves may yellow and drop, and prolonged overwatering can lead to root rot.
Light:
Dischidia Million Hearts prefers bright, indirect light. An east- or west-facing window is ideal, and a bright south-facing window can work if the light is filtered (sheer curtain) to prevent scorching. Brighter indirect light helps the foliage color look its best, but direct sun may burn the leaves—while too little light can slow growth.
General Care:
-
Soil/Drainage: Million Hearts is an epiphytic vine (in nature it grows on tree branches), so it needs very well-draining soil to keep roots from staying wet and rotting.
-
Fertilizing: Feed once a month in spring and summer with a diluted, general houseplant fertilizer.
-
Pruning & Propagation: You can trim as needed to shape the plant. To propagate, take cuttings and root them in either water or soil.
